Search Engine Marketing with Google Adwords

As the internet has evolved from a simple communication medium to a modern powerhouse of global activity, businesses have shifted their focus away from traditional brick and mortar stores in favor of an online presence. These modern businesses have become reliant on search engine marketing in order to become recognized and well established online. While marketing styles and techniques vary based on the mission of each individual campaign, any effort focused around attracting prospective clients should involve some degree of marketing through search engines. With the overwhelming success of Google, most all search engine marketing efforts focus entirely Google’s Page Rank searching algorithm as well as Google Adwords . While any marketer can simply purchase advertising slots for any specific keyword, any in depth marketing campaign should include efforts in increasing their website’s “Page Rank”. For most users, the organic search results are seen as more valuable than google adwords links. Through search engine optimisation , advertisers are able to artificially increase relevance to Google’s algorithm, thereby increasing their position on Google’s organic results. While organic results are considered the superior results by most users, it’s important to understand the value of advertising alongside these results. When a link appears multiple times on the same page, for many the organic link appears more trustworthy, even though these non-organic results are simply the result of a marketing budget. What many advertisers overlook is the extra traffic generated through users selecting from organic results after seeing an advertised link. These two aspects of marketing should be used in tandem for best results.
