Solving Messy Computer Issues
Computers tend to get slow over time. There are many different reasons for the gradual molasses. Often the first culprit is a piece of software that is horribly programmed. Just recently I found that a certain program that was supposed to help me make backups of my files and folders had been tying up tons of CPU power, slowing my computer down to a crawl. What a pain in the neck! And I had thought that my computer was just getting slow and that my internet connection had gotten slower. Nope, just the software.
Sometimes the installation and uninstallation of software can cause your computer to get gummed up with several excess registry entries. This can cause your computer to slow down quite a bit, depending on the individual problem. If you’re looking for a good way to clean this out I suggest using a registry cleaner software tool. There are lots of different software tools to clean out the registry. We like RegCure made by ParetoLogic. It’s a very quick program and ParetoLogic offers good customer service and support. We suggest always, always backing up all your important data before making any sort of change in the registry.
If you’re looking for a review of RegCure check out our regcure review. RegCure ran well in our test and we found it to help improve the speed of our test computer; an IBM Thinkpad laptop.
Another foolproof way to speed up your computer is to install more RAM. This will physically make your computer faster.
